    .
in my humble opinion....both fighter's legacy will not change much even with this FIGHT (if it happens). It will not make them any "better" in their true resume because they are on their way out already and made their indelible marks already.

Just thought that Mayweather's legacy will be more on PROFOUND SKILLS with UNFOUNDED OPPONENTS. Whereas Pacquiao has fought more and more quality opponents.

Pac had a more dynamic and dramatic rise because of his size and the manner in which he dismantled them. Mayweather again, should be given his due....his superlative skills admired by many - namely counter punching and uncanny ability NOT TO GET HIT.

      Just unbelievable stuff..

      Hagler is a close 2nd

Then holyfield, floyd, manny, pernell, roy, hearns

I don't count Duran, because his best years were during Ali's era, and not post ali
That's a very good point actually....I voted Leonard anyway but how would his post 1980 career rank alongside the others....interesting.

Btw hope that post Hagler list isn't in order cos noway should Holyfield and Floyd should be above Manny or Hearns...in fact, RJJ shouldn't be above either guy.

Pacquiao has surpassed Duran in my opinion.

Pacquiao best wins: Barrera x 2, Morales x 2, Marquez x 2, Cotto, Bradley2. (Marquez decisions close and disputed as was Bradley 1)

Duran's best wins: Sugar Ray Leonard, Esteban de Jesus, Pipinio Cuevas, Iran Barkley (disputed)

Pacquiao has a higher quantity of very good wins that Duran, though Durans win over SRL is obviously the clincher in most people's eyes.

The reason why Duran is thought of as so great is because of the way he went up through the divisions, feats which Pacquiao has surpassed.

Considering his size... Pacquiao all day, every day. It's amazing that a small Filipino could theoretically KO a heavyweight... or at least hurt. The left hand from the Heavens.

The poll should have been made public, it's embarrassing to see some of those votes.

Duran has a lot more "good wins" than Pacquiao.

That includes Ken Buchanan,Ernesto, Marcel, Carlos Palomino, Mamby,
Davey Moore, Jorge Castro, and Vilomar Fernandez.

Please stop pretending you know what you're talking about when it's obvious that you don't.

You and anybody else defending your Pacquiao pick are showing the limited knowledge on this topic. Maybe you should make a poll for the most clueless fan base. I know who would get my vote.
