He's got a point though.
Sven ottke has 20+ title defenses, who did he beat?
What about Lucian Bute - he has a lot of defenses also, who did he beat?
Vitali has a lot of defenses, but he hardly faced any top contenders.Comment

He didn't? Well how many top 10 contenders did he face compared to Byrd?Comment

Yes he won titles and defended them...but against who?? that is what i am referring to..Byrd has the better wins on his resumeLol, since when is being 15-2 in heavyweight title fights not good at all?
You do realize that he's ranked 6th all time in title fight victories, right?
That's in over 120 years of heavyweight boxing. You should rethink that statement. Makes you sound just plain ******.Comment

*names, not wins.
What's Byrd's best win other than Vitali - 40 year old ancient Holyfield? Beating Peter who had only lost to Wlad prior coming off a 4 year lay off is a better WIN in boxing terms. Read my post if you missed it on the previous page.Comment

His win over Tua is better then any win Vitali hasComment

What about Calzaghe? Who did he beat? Does that apply to him too?
Look, Vitali has a great resume. Aside from getting the better of ATG Lennox Lewis, he fought and beat the who's who of the Ring top ten the majority of his title reign that his brother didn't already beat. The simple fact is that he ruined many fighters spirits and made it look easy so in retrospect, it seems like he fought mid pack competition. But, that just wasn't the case. Anyone who says he has less than a stellar career is a hating idiot. Period.Comment
