Showtime Sports Executive VP Stephen Espinoza admits there is urgency to get a deal done for Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Manny Pacquiao but they are not at the point of being in a chaotic period because of timeframe to finalize a May 2 date. Mayweather has an exclusive contract with Showtime, while Pacquiao is contracted to rival network HBO.

There are a few issues outstanding before a deal can be completed, and Espinoza says those issues are significant in nature. He denies any reports of Mayweather dragging his feet to make a deal.

The two fighters met face to face last week in a Miami hotel suite, where Mayweather tried to work out some of the outstanding issues.

lol, they kept saying Arum is lying, because he didn't go into specifics on the small issues and said he want even say what the issues are!

But stephen Espinoza won't even say them either.

I laugh at these fanboys, bottomline is nobody knows wtf the issues are. Stop blaming Bob, because stephen says the same thing there are only a few issues left.

They won't go out in the open and reveal them that will just hurt negotiations and probably destroy any chance of the fight happening.

Be interesting to know what the issues are , reading between the lines when Floyd met Manny there were network issues which Koncz said he phoned Arum the next morning and was told they were as good as fixed , now Im wondering if those issue Arum was supposed have had fixed are in fact not sorted out .

Will be interesting when its all over and it starts to get revealed what actually went on setting this fight up .

Mayweather doesnt want the Pacquaio fight badly, if he did he would have the fight already made. It has been said over and over that Mayweather is his own boss, so how can a boss wants something so badly that can come to fruition with his OK but yet it still just a doesnt get made?
