Is Mathysse a good enough counter puncher to make a fight with Pacquiao interesting?

Provo is a huge hurdle to get over, but if he does win, I think we can say he has earned the Pacquiao fight.
I think PAC would move and box him, I'd be shocked if he traded with him and if he did he'd pay the price. I'd have no issues with this fight, it's certainly better than vargas. If Lucas fights end of march hopefully they can have it in July.

Lucas has improved a lot since then. Those fights were many years ago and he dropped both of them. He would KO both of them in a rematch today in my opinion. I agree Pacquiao would beat Lucas but not by a one sided beating.

I think Lucas catches pac and stops him - pac lunges in often

Getting by Provo should earn him something, but Provo's not a good bellwether for Pacquiao. Re-watch the Molina fight then imagine what Pac would do... (Or Garcia for that matter.) It wouldn't be the worst fight (for obvious reasons), but I dunno...

I'm still wondering if he can box well enough to keep Provo off of him. He struggled against Molina and it is brushed under the rug like nothing. Provo isn't going to be knocked down 3 times like Molina that's clear

Lucas has the physical tools to beat him, but doesn't have the style. He's really not that good at cutting the ring off.

He's one of those set, and reset fighters that the elite of the elite will always beat. He'd have to drastically improve in order to beat the creme de la creme.

He's actually the exact same fighter, IMO. He didn't exactly look like an improved or changed fighter against Molina.

Nah. Not really a good fight. Pacquiao can outbox him to a clear UD. A Prime Pacquiao would stop him under 10.

nah, he just looked like a guy who hadn't fought in almost 8 months.

I think he is but there is no need to cut off a ring against Pacquiao, he's right there, both guys come to fight.
