Does Matty Ice have enough craft to be competitive against Pacman?

he strong and durable enough to make it interesting but IMO he will land at the same rate Algeri did just that Lucas has real power.

I always felt Mathysse is a trickier fighter than he's given credit for, very calculated and methodical in his attack. I wonder if he would be able to catch Pac like Marquez was able to through the course of their 4-fights.

This pretty much. He likely won't be able to hang with Pacquiao boxing-wise, but he has game-changing power and could knock him out. Very exciting match-up.

His only shot is doing the pull counter with the right hand. So, he has that puncher's chance or gets outboxed in one-sided fashion and possibly stopped. In other words, not a fight really worth discussing.

Yeah, with his power and skill it is certainly going to be competitive, counter punching or not.

By skill I don't mean Pernell Whitaker, but he is no bar brawler swinging for fences either.

He couldn't knock out guys like zab Judah or Alexander, I'm sure pacs team would have a good gameplan they'd execute perfectly. It would be a one sided beating.

Those guys run/box though, plus he dropped both of them. Pacquiao will trade with Matthysse.

Provo is a huge hurdle to get over, but if he does win, I think we can say he has earned the Pacquiao fight.

It's not his counter punching that makes him a hard fight for Pacquiao. Lucas is an attacker with wicked combination punching and real power in both hands. He has good timing and accuracy. His style is not that different than Pacquiao's style. Lucas has a high workrate as does Pacquiao. It would be a real war and I favor Pacquiao because of his speed and accurate punching.
