Wilder is a lot more explosive and aggressive minded than Wlad. Wlad never really tried to go for the KO against Haye because he was in control and is a safety first type of fighter. Even though Haye is clearly the more skilled fighter Haye would struggle a lot with Wilder's offense.

Wilder beats every ex-Soviet champ sans Wladimir, Vitali, and maybe Povetkin.

He wipes out Maskaev, Chagaev, Valuev, Liakhovich, and Ibragimov.

Wilder might be able to outbox Valuev although I wouldn't be that surprised if the giant could beat Wilder either.

Wilder is 1/5th the fighter Haye is though, that's ridiculous! Haye would totally clown and waste Wilder beyond any doubt.

          Very believable.

A guy who has barely been tested and proven somewhat dodgey, beats the tremendous upper eschelons of boxing except the absolute pinnacle.

In all seriousness, Maskaev - yes, the guy had a glass chin. Liakhovich, he did anyway but he was shot by then. In his prime probably still. Valuev, as I said in my post here, he wins but probably not by KO. However, we get to the better fighters now. Ibragimov...hard to say, the guy was a bit of an enigma, but he had some skills, plus that southpaw element. Toss-up fight, but Wilder could win. Chagaev...prime Chagaev I'm not sure...he was a decent fighter and was fairly durable with skills and has that southpaw potential advantage. Although he is small so that would be to his detriment. Again, toss up fight.

From what he have seen of Wilder so far - Povetkin beats him, Wlad probably destroys him, Vitali would have schooled him.

But even 50 year old Holyfield beat him ffs.

Wilder gets beat by valuev..reach height style.
wilder is no haye.. wilder would have to be a slick Pure boxer
or valuev wears him out.. i got valuev ud ..wilder not in his class

Hard to imagine the fight as Valuev never fought a man of remotely near his size that remotely had any skills, as far as I know. A fight against Vitali apparently almost happened but fell through - now that would have been funny and given us a clearer indication. To be fair Valuev is **** though...you just have to outwork him to win and basically not get hit, which is fairly easy if you stay out of the way of his slow jabs and wild shots. If Wilder improves his game he can just work on the outside peppering 1-2s onto Valuev's skull and either break him down or win a decision.

The fact that Haye could almost KO Valuev punching up and late in the fight just shows that a proper heavyweight with power like Wilder could do the same. Now, i'm not discounting Wilder doing something ****** and getting hit with something big himself, but with a smart gameplan if you are a young fighter that can move and has speed, you pretty much have the beating of the Giant freak. Valuev would be the picture under a definition for 'big stiff idiot'.

He didn't get knocked out. He was rocked but sparring is sparring and a fight is different. I'd pick Haye to win but I still think Wilder would be a very live underdog against Haye. Somebody like Holyfield would eat Wilder alive tho.
