This is especially true since he had shoulder surgery due to injury. He won't be quite the same as he was.

i'm not going to act like i'm allowed to talk about whether or not i took "gym fights" while i was laid off, but ray leonard used to do that to keep sharp.

unlike me... i mean andre ward... leonard had a very high contact career in the professionals. he also had a well documented issue with is eyesight.

if i were handling [managing] andre ward, i'd have paid lower tier professional fighters to try and take his freaking head off in "gym fights."
you close the doors to the gym, surround yourself with a few trusted people, and make the sparring partner / fighter sign a contract stipulating that he can't talk about the fight.

that's likely what happened. you know i'd whoop that ass.

What does Froch have to be scared of? Losing a wide points decision? Chilling.

Ward's style is just not to his liking and he wouldn't even get paid well for it.

Fighting Ward would just be an awkward and unpleasant experience. A bit like how a girl would feel having sex with you.

Ward isnt fighting gym fights..not the type.he wants to xash out not stay in the game.he onky wants a smaller GGG .thats it.

He is now imo past prime sitting on a shelf...175 beats him up.better stay inactive at 168.175 will retire ward at this point.

women appreciate this punishment. i beat on it with a fury that you literally cannot understand.

continue to go to ridiculous lengths in the defense of carl froch. post your shirtless, too. i'm sure you look great, given the insecurity about my build that you display in constancy.

That's just it Andre...I mean New England, lower-tiered fighters wouldn't be able to offer the same challenge as top-tiered fighters. Even if you throw in a couple of current top-tiered guys, it wouldn't be the same as fighting for your career, status and belts. And how much are you really willing to risk in mere "gym fights'?

obviouslyt they're not going to be as competitve as top flight fighters.

they usually bring in one for the first few rounds, shift in another, etc. it's not perfect, but it keeps me sharp.

i mean andre ward. it keeps him sharp and good looking.

i treated the best the euros had to offer like sparring sessions, anyway. they don't even watch those fights.

Froch has made it clear he doesn't want a rematch with Ward, there's nothing more too it.

                  yes.

being made to look liek you don't belong in the ring with the planet's best fighter is soemthing to be afraid of. froch lost plenty of sleep when he got his butt whipped by ward.

hell, the dude started talking retiremtn.

you brits are such an odd combination of cluelessness and bias.

No point, he would lose to Ward on points.. He knows it, we know it, ward knows it.. Rather he goes out on a **** with a tear up.

Why would it be shameful to lose to the so called Planet's Best Fighter?

He's already lost a wide decision to Ward once. Feather duster punches followed by clinching and mauling. It's nothing to be afraid of.

Froch can have a similar fight with Hopkins and actually get a decent night's pay for it.

Froch lost so much sleep that he went on to produce a career best performance in his next fight.
