Shannon Briggs the next HW Champ?

I really like Shannon Briggs and I think he has the skills & power to beat anyone who has the HW titles today. What you guys think?

I can see why you like him because he throws big punches and gets quick ko's. The only problem is he aint great over long periods and his defence is very very very bad. Would be beaten by many hws but his style is good enogh to possibly beat wlad on a ko for example

Briggs would have KOed Toney early. His boxing skills are primitive, but he has a really awkward style and knows how to throw out the power. He'd just step into range and start blasting on Toney until he drops. That's why Toney DUCKED all the very public Peter challenges and is too scared to even mention his name in public, so you won't see him in with Briggs.

Byrd could probably outbox Briggs, Brewster would be a major shootout, Rahman would probably be blasted out, and Briggs would be very dangerous early against Valuev who's never been challenged by that kind of power.

No way. He doesnt have it. Brewster would KO him similarly to his last few fights, Toney would school him if he could get his act together. Byrd would get a UD and Wlad would KO him in six.

briggs' record is impressive with 46-4-1 with 40 KOs, 27 in the 1st round. but he faces and beats a bunch of C grade fighters, and if he wants to win or contend for a title, he really needs to step it up before Father Time kicks his ass.
