It's a totally different business model...

In boxing you have unlimited earning potential, as everyone is pretty much out for themselves, but it also hurts the sport of boxing as there is no structure..

In ufc, the top guys are getting ripped off, but at least there is structure and it's an actual sport organization

Because after watching 2 or 3 ufc shows, guys start to realise why they love what they are seeing and go and suck some ****.

I like how you posted 2013 instead of 2014 PPV numbers...what you're doing here...I can see it.
WTF are you talking about? Majority of fights get canceled? Source? Or are you talking out of our a$$?

Also, what difference does it make which year I choose? Care to actually present a thought? I see what you did there, nothing. You are mentally ******ed.

Like I stated, boxing beat out the UFC in PPVs numbers in 2014, contrary to what you posted that they destroy boxing. Sure they have in the past, but not now.

and the injury thing, you are either living in a cave or don't follow MMA. Yes, saying the majority is a slight exaggeration, but go on any mma message board and see what they think of the injuries. A major main event just got canceled (for like the third time running) only a few days ago.

You are slow or trolling. If you don't know MMA don't come on here and pretend that you know what's going on.

I like the sport but I hate when people like you pretend that everything runs perfectly. You think boxing fans are bitter, see how the dwindling MMA fanbase feels.

There's been like 20 fight cancellations only in the past month! and this follows what happened last year when an absurd amount also got canceled, it's almost comical.

If you want to find PPV estimates

also, Belfort just turned down Machida last night, the idea that nobody turns down fights in the UFC is ******.

I watch boxing and MMA so I have no bias.
The reason for the lower pay in MMA is because the UFC has close to a monopoly in the industry and they abuse that position of power by paying low salaries. The fighters have little alternative and are almost in a slave situation.
The owners of Zuffa entertainment (who owns UFC) are hard tough buisness men.
I really feel sorry for the fighters.

Boxing is a true free market and hence the bigger pay.
