why they get paid so little is because why not, UFC is a promotional company/outfit within the MMA sportworld and with that being said they are the best paying promotional company. So whats the alternative for these MMA fighters?

In boxing you only have 4 standard punches to understand.

No enjoyment in watching two men roll around on the floor when you have no idea wtf they are doing.

"He's got half guard and is looking for the ****saurus reptilian choke hold!"

Once they start rolling around on the ground probably only 10% of the people watching understand the positioning and what's available to the fighter. It's a spastic sport. I respect anyone that can do it though.

That's ignorant and incorrect. The UFC just had it's worst year since 2007 and is losing ground throughout the US.

That's cause mlb has no salary cap plus career ending injuries aren't as often

Santa Cruz gets paid more fighting bums. Why is their salary so low compared to boxers? If their PPVs are doing so well, shouldn't their salary should be higher? Thoughts?

They really don't. There's a handful of boxers who make more money than the top UFC guys. Floyd, Manny, Wladimir, Canelo, Cotto, and Chavez all either make more, or have much greater earning potential than guy slke Jon Jones, and other top UFC guys.

UFC is also much more fickle - positions and rankings change, top guys lose more, etc.

But the mid-level, and journeyman UFC guys make more than their equivalents in boxing.

Most are making double to four times as much as what their listed salary is from sponsors, and they get a piece of the PPV sales as well.
