Povetkin is the A-side, Russia is HW central, go to Russia.
Then why is the unified champion (and his brother before him) from the Ukraine and fights in Germany?

Or you go to Russia, get robbed/lose a close fight etc. and lose the very thing that's making you money- the WBC belt. Stiverne wilder did big ratings because the belt was on the line
Why would you do three fights for $10m when you can make that in one? LOL....poor business.

Povetkin would be a voluntary defence so a rematch clause would be in place should he get robbed or lose. Go back to America and make more for the rematch.

The only way this isn't a duck is if he fights someone more deserving than Povetkin such as Fury.

Is this supposed to be a "gotcha" as though I don't know they're different countries? Wlad is just one guy (Glazkov another). Russia has had a steady presence at HW with many fighters for some time, it's the world's largest country, and HW boxing is rather popular there.

But let's say yes, then you would prefer for the fight to be in Ukraine? Great! I'm sure Wilder's team will agree to it.

Fighting in Eastern Europe is kind of like taking off your training wheels when you are an American heavyweight.

We saw what happened to the "golden age" when they experienced such vastly superior technique. Those guys are all eunuchs in panties now, having totally given up on ever being so manly.

Perhaps you're right, Wilder should never take the training wheels off, he could potentially die.

I want to see him fight both. Wilder beats Fury easier than Povetkin at this point in time. Wilder should fight Fury in England and have a huge **** talking build up to the fight. Knock Fury out grab some of the PB32 style Union Jack fans and then go after Povetkin but get him in England or America.

They're banking the world on him throwing a lucky punch that KOs an aging Wladimir. Anything before or after that is of no consequence.

He could defend the belt against Shannon Briggs, Kimbo Slice and Mr T and they would eat that **** up calling it the new golden age.

For a time. Probably a year. And this is keeping it real. It's like when Floyd was at 140 after he destroyed Gatti and both Hatton and Cotto wanted nothing to do with him. I had no problem with that since they weren't ready. Get some more wins under your belt, improve then take on all comers.

I couldn't care less how much money he makes. As a fan I want him to improve(yes he still has to make improvements which he is shown he was capable of) and then take on all comers. I would give him a pass for this year is what I am saying.

It obviously isn't "the place" to fight when the guys are looking to start fighting in Germany or America ASAP when they get a good ranking. Wilder is supposed to go to a place with a history of dangling big purses and then not making good on them to make his first defense? This is just silly. I know you guys are all really upset that Wilder won (believe me, the desperation shows in your posts) but why would he make his first defense on the road?
