Because you want to protect Wilder and you're worried about his "development" lol.

The offer is on the table now. When you're offered 10X your highest purse you don't scoff at it.
who said I didn't want it to happen? again, read my I initial post. he can fight Povetkin down the road.

if you think its protecting than so be it. you are essentially saying if a fighter rejects an offer its a duck. that mentality is really ****** IMO. really no point to discuss anymore.

Dude if you say so. if your opinion is every rejected offer is a duck-I think that is ******ed. I don't see it as a big deal if he fights Povetkin later as I explained in my first post.

Wilder has beaten only one decent fighter. If he chooses to fight a fury or someone else before Povetkin, its not a big deal nor a duck IMO.

Uhh no Dunnce, that's not what I'm saying.

I'm saying if a fighter rejects 10x his highest purse where there is no real downside to instead fight softer opposition for 10x less the money....then that's a duck.

          If not, then what is?

I don't think Wilder is ready for Povetkin. I think he should fight Fury first. He beat Fury and builds confidence. To fight Sasha, he needs a solid gameplan and honestly, assurance the judges won't be some Russian circus act.

Exactly, that guy needs to be banned for ******ity. How he cannot see that fighting a lesser opponent for 1/10 the money isn't a duck is mind boggling.

He's in full damage control mode now trying to make it seem like we're saying turning down any offer is a duck

                  No Dunn, no.

If you say so. Your opinion doesn't really matter to me. I don't have a problem with whatever move wilder makes next. If its fury instead of povetkin that is fine. If he doesn't fight Povetkin and goes fury then wlad, fine.

The man has just fought his 1st live body. Instead of going to the #2 HWT next, he will likely to go to the #5 guy. Only idiots like you and others in this thread would classify that as a duck. He is taking a smaller step up. Happens year in and year out in the sport.

I just realized. el blanco is from Toronto. you are from England. So this is only because wilder is an American fighter. I should've realized.

I'd turn down a fight in Russia too with their shady judges and payment withholding. Wilder can fight in the US and skip the jet lag.
