    Marvin Hagler underrated?

I'm a big fan of the fab four and was wondering why Leonard, Duran and Hearns are always looked upon as the icons and poor Marvelous never gets a mention. He fought the Hearns, Barkley, Mugabi. Lost a SD to Leonard, why do you think he's the least praised?

he reason does not get mentioned with the others is that he was one-dimensional while the other three clearly were more well-rounded. Besides he got lucky that Hearns broke his hand, fought a bloated Duran and got made a fool out of by Leonard. He is the least talented of the four.

But he was mentally the stronger of the four.

Yeah, he was screwed in that Leonard fight but I give Leonard kudos..those were the days where fighters fought and didn't make excuses....should have been a rematch

I assume it's because the others had more time in the spot light while they were fighting in the lower weight classes. Hagler had to buy his time at MW taking on tough, but lesser named opponents.

I agree but I think he compensates for that with his power, relentless work rate, and granite chin. Hearns is my favourite of the four but I love the way hearns fought.

Did you seriously just call Hagler one-dimensional?
