OP's questions seems that had he fought Margarito, Floyd would have surely won
Lets just say he would beat the crap out of the Margarito Manny beat 120 /108 .

150 in a 26 ft ring with 10oz gloves , after Margo has a 2 yr forced holiday coming of a KO loss and looking like sht against a bum out back Mexico .

    Get real fanboys .

Would Mayweather's resumé be enhance with a win over a prime huge welterweight he was accused of avoiding? Of course, the question though is by how much.

This instead he let them face each other. If margarito was still in the picture today floyd would probably of outboxed the man who was nowhere near what they were calling him in 2007

No one would have been able to say he avoided him if he fought him. So yes.

The biggest detriment to Floyds legacy are the arguments that he's been avoiding some of his toughest opponent (whether that is true or not is up for debate).

A pretty decent win, but let's be honest, Margarito has never been so good.

Floyd is a diva and far from being a role model, but saying that Margarito would have beaten anybody good, let alone a younger Floyd Mayweather, is pure hatred.
