in 06 Baldomir was the champion and in 07 wins over hatton and DLH meant more than Margarito and in the future it will too
dont you know your boy floyd ducked ricky hatton at 140 lbs? Oh you said what? That its ok if he ducked him cuz he ended fighting him anyway? typcial floyd groupie talk is what that is.

there is no spin just the truth....Ricky Hatton was undefeated, more proven lineal champion at 140 and held the WBA ww title before Margo won it

What made Margarito so dangerous? Because Arum said it?

Margarito in 06-07 was not more dangerous than Oscar DLH at 154...there Is no way to spin this
so why did floyd fight hatton at 147 lbs instead at 140 lbs?

        FLOYD'S BEST WINS ARE:
Diego Corrales in January 2001 at 130lbs, and
Jose Luis Castillo in December 2002 at 135lbs.

A fight against Antonio Margarito in 2006/2007 at 147lbs, would have been better than his two best wins.

...and so would a fight against Kostya Tszyu in 2004/2005 at 140lbs

...and so would a fight against Paul Williams in 2008 at 147lbs

...and so would a fight against Manny Pacquiao in 2009/2010 at 147lbs

...and so would a fight against Sergio Martinez in 2011/2012 at 154lbs

...and so would a fight against Gennady Golovkin in 2014/2015 at 154lbs

Floyd had all the chances to become a top10 ATG, but he wasn't interested, instead settling for a top40-50 position.

no one can question Oscar about opposition....It would have made more sense if you said you said he should've fought Winky Wright around that time.

Oscar would have kicked Margos ass from pillar to post in 06-07
Really? Do you even know who ODH beat for that belt that he and floyd fought for? Dont forget ODH had ONE fight prior to floyd and before that was inactive for almost 2 years after the hopkins tko???

to add to this only held the WBO title and that's not much incentive when at the time Mayweather had won lineal titles at 3/4 weight classes he competed in.

His biggest win didn't come until Mayweather retired when he beat Cotto

All in all Margarito was never a great fighter, he did notch some good wins but this boogeyman that Floyd avoided isn't what I see.

Just another fighter who gained hype because his promoter kept bring up Mayweather's name

a win over Margarito would have gotten him the same amount credit as his win over Ortiz. Except Margarito is a 100% suspended punished cheater in the eyes of the sport.

Margarito was a good contender at welterweight who became a hypejob soon as their were talks of Mayweather leaving Top Rank for fights with ODLH, AND BIGGER FIGHTS

The proof is in the pudding....He so called ducked Margarito but beat the guy that knocked his ass out and has defeated a slew of fighters better and more accomplished than Antonio

Lets be real.....Margarito wouldn't even be one of Mayweather's top 5 wins

No real title at stake except a trinket and losses to lesser fighters as well
Beating a guy who had the wbo ww belt for 5 straight years and noone wanted to fight the dude wouldnt be good on floyds resume??? WTf?

Dude you trying so hard. Oscar is my all time favorite boxer but this is not true. Oscar was a shell of himself, Margarito was prime. Oscar was great but not when Floyd fought him. Though I do give Floyd his props for fighting with almost everything going against him vs Oscar.

You don't become a hypejob when you're a top 2/3 WW for almost a decade son.
