Oh I know Bob knows how complicated negotiations can get. So when he pretends (which is the word I think you should focus on) it's so simple and says things like "We agreed to everything. We agreed to the date, the split, this that and the third", I'm over here like "that's weird". You know...like a normal person should. Because as simple and definite he makes it seems, I know he didn't go into details in any of them. He says everyone agreed except Mayweather, yet Showtime's Stephen Espinoza here is saying something else. Arum says they presented a contract to Mayweather, and Espinoza is saying "What contract?" So if Arum is saying everyone agreed except Mayweather, and we got Espinoza here who is obviously not Mayweather...saying something else, then no everyone didn't agree. That's a lie, right guys? (Can't believe I had to oversimplify it to this level.)

On the other hand it's been a month since negotiations started. Most fights don't take a month to sign even when superstars are involved.

The idea that there's no contract at all is far less believable than Arum's claims that terms have been agreed to on his end.

If there is a hold-up, regarding the split or whatever, we haven't heard about it from Floyd's end. Just talk about how there's no contract and "Manny isn't his own boss."

If there was a report coming from Floyd saying "I signed the contract" you would see an overwhelming number of people express their pleasure at the fight happening. I don't think there would be many people talking about fake contracts.

The fact is though, Floyd isn't making noise about getting this fight signed. He's making the opposite noises, saying Pacquiao doesn't tell him what to do and that there's no deal and so on.

Floyd would flop on NBC. The way he fights is completely boring to everyone, other than some boxing fans. Most people only tune in to see if Floyd might lose. Floyd himself admits that last bit.

Floyd did make a ridiculous offer, he went on record saying Pacquiao isn't getting that flat $40 million fee he would have earned a few years ago. After that all the talk from Floyd has been "Manny isn't his own boss." I'm not really seeing efforts to make the fight here.

In any case the valley between one camp saying "we agreed to everything" and the other camp saying "there is no agreement" is huge. If there's a hold-up in terms then what is it?

I don't really think that highly of Espinoza as a source. He's basically a Haymon guy and he'll take the Mayweather party line as to whatever they tell him to say. He also tried to claim that Garcia-Peterson going to NBC (and not CBS) was all part of some master plan. The guy is a bit of a joke.

No, but the original poster claimed that Boxing Scene is racist and doesn't post comments from Espinoza who denied the contract when in fact Boxing Scene did and has posted stuff that refutes Arum's claim and that shows that Boxing Scene does not favor one side over the other in choosing which articles to post. The original poster could not get a single thing right.
