This will destroy any profit margin for a May-Cotto II PPV, which with all the backlash might not even hit 1 million buys going up against a free Canelo fight.

Another money loser for Espinoza and Showtime lol

Lmao what's up with people acting as if James is some kind of bum ? He got caught cold by Ishida and has been dropped but he only got stopped once in his career. If anything that means he has toughness and is willing to fight fire with fire and trade with monstrous fighters the likes of prime Angulo, and still come out on top.

If anything the massive layoff on behalf of Kirkland would be the true problem... But let's not forget the fact tha Canelo wouldn't have had a fight in a little over 10 months by the time the fight rolls around, a long layoff as well.

Perhaps the most action packed scrap at the 155

The lay offs are comparable at all. This is not Canelo's second fight in three years. So you can stop with that.

Not that it matters because he would beat Kirkland either way.

Although I believe canelo has a better chance of winning, I will go with Kirkland, styles make fights and I think if Kirkland comes out blazing like he did against Tapia, Canelo will be in trouble. Canelo starts slow and does not throw many punches. For those of you who continue to point out the ishida fight, conveniently forgetting that was kirklands first fight out of jail, I point out canelo was in trouble against a smaller feather fisted opponent named Jose cotto.

So I got 100 mil saying Kirkland wins.

I also got 100 mil says Garcia defeats Peterson

100 mil says Thurman defeats Guerrero.

If I don't respond to your post send a message.

Wait, you're contradicting yourself with your very first sentence .

Anyway all I am pointing out is the fact that redhead has been out of the ring for sometime as well, perhaps not as long as Kirkland but it is still long enough for ring rust to build. It's not like it's a fight between a retired fighter and an extremely busy, young fighter.

Kirkland has a shot. If Canelo gasses at any point in he fight, Kirkland will take over. Also, power will always be the great equalizer. Not saying it will happen but an upset isn't out of the question in his fight.

Gotta hope Kirkland doesn't have a change of heart like he has last couple of times he agreed to fight or who is canelo plan c option? Don't know how good it can be since we not going which Kirkland we going get since he's had one fight in 2+ years

That's how it is in any business or in life for that matter. You can't go on waiting for some arrogant jerk's, they call TBE, decision forever. The wheels of life have to continue moving.

Please explain how I'm contradicting? It's not Canelo's second fight in three years and his inactivity doesn't compare to Kirkland's. What am I missing?

actually it will affect Floyd, since as the lead promoter Floyd is the one who has to pay Cotto.......
