Somebody might just die in that fight, I fell sorry for Lucas because he gets tough fight after tough fight, I can't think of another fighter who's had a tougher road to walk

provo doesn't throw bombs for 12 rounds, he does it for 2 or 3. if he is well prepare, this is a tough fight for both, but if he shows up like against bradley, lucas has the edge then.Comment

U think rios and mike have had tougher back to back fights than Lucas?
Just because they've lost didn't mean they were wars, rios got lit up by pac man but wasn't really hurt and Alvarado got beaten by Marquez but I wouldn't call that a war eitherComment

Ring TV .comLucas Matthysse-Ruslan Provodnikov eyed for March 28 at StubHub
January 28, 2015
Talks are ongoing for a junior welterweight bout between top contenders Lucas Matthysse and Ruslan Provodnikov on March 28 at the StubHub Center in Carson, Calif., according to Provodnikov’s promoter, Artie Pelullo of Banner Promotions.
Golden Boy Promotions President Oscar De La Hoya, who recently signed Matthysse (36-3, 34 knockouts) to a five-year extension, characterized the clash with Provodnikov (24-3, 17 KOs) as “one of those Fight Of The Year candidates.” Golden Boy Vice President Eric Gomez has also been involved in the discussion, Pelullo said.
“Oscar has told you correctly. Oscar and I and Eric Gomez have agreed to do a Provodnikov-Matthysse fight. What we’re working on now is finalizing details and going forward,” said Pelullo. “I can confirm that I’m talking to Oscar and Eric Gomez about putting on a fight between Provodnikov and Matthysse on March 28, and we’ve reserved the StubHub Center in Los Angeles.”
A former WBO 140-pound titleholder nicknamed “The Siberian Rocky,” Provodnikov, who turned 31 on Jan. 20, is coming off a fifth-round knockout over former lightweight titleholder Jose Luis Castillo last November.
In his previous fight in June, Provodnikov lost his WBO junior welterweight title by split decision to Chris Algieri after having won the belt by 10th-round stoppage over Mike Alvarado, whom he dropped twice in October 2013.
Nicknamed “La Máquina” or “The Machine,” Matthysse has scored consecutive stoppages in the 11th and second rounds over John Molina last April and previously unbeaten Roberto Ortiz last September.
“We’re just in negotiations and we’re in the process. Provodnikov’s promoter is taking the lead, so we’re waiting to see. It’s a matter of time before that fight gets done,” said De La Hoya. “That should be one of those Fight Of The Year candidates. The talks are underway, and the talks are continuing, so I’m optimistic that that fight will get done.”Comment

I posted an ESPN Argentina article yesterday in the Poll Thread, check it out
basically Mario Arano (Lucas' manager) is looking for a title fight vs Postol (WBC Interim Title) or Provodnikov (WBO Vacant title)Comment
