Oh. This being Golovkin's 2nd WBC sanctioned fight, I think this is only the second time he's done a 30 day weigh-in. I have to wonder if he (and other fighters) don't usually cut weight for these early weigh-ins because they then weigh a good 10-15lbs over the day of the fight.

In all his recent training camp photo's, he looks his usual form. But who knows, he spent alot of time on that 'world' press tour in 4 different countries then was hobnobbing at the movie awards show.

It's official GGG fooling the public and ducked Andre Ward. He's a scared scrub who fight light middleweights to act like some boogeyman.

Obviously I was exaggerating. Martinez was known to start camps heavy (over 180 pounds) though.

Martinez came to the ring at 170 lbs like Golovkin does.

How can you be small for a weight when you are coming to the ring 10 lbs heavier?
I'm not saying he wasn't a middleweight. I'm saying the perception at the time was he wasn't a big middleweight, being that he came up from 154.

That being said, I don't think he has to move up to 168 like some ppl are suggesting but I don't think he would be greatly outsized in that division either
I don't think anyone thinks he's a small middleweight. Most people say he's perfect at middleweight and usually I hear stuff like he would be a bit small for Super Middleweight.

                And that perception was wrong.

Neither Martinez or Golovkin are small MW's.
