I was hyped for this fight before but the circumstances have changed and there are actual attractive opponents in the division now. The Brighs fight was fun when the division was dead.

HBO isn't going to green light Briggs. Or at least I hope they don't and I truly hope that this was a joke or Wlad was somehow misquoted. What Wlad should do is hire Briggs as a sparring partner. Therefore for just a couple thousands dollars a week he can beat the snot out of him legally. It would be a win win situation for Wlad.

We all know this fight was a set up. We know Briggs was getting paid to follow him around and call him out just so they can create interest for this fight. Now all of a sudden he goes from not wanting to fight Briggs to wanting to fight him.

It's a wrestling event. I don't think WK or Briggs records should even be touched by the outcome of the fight because it is all a total act and not even very subtle the way they staged it.
