If Deontay can consistently beat Wladdy to the punch, then he has a very good chance of defeating him because Wlad's punch volume is very low as compared to Wilder's. Klitschko generally likes to wear down his shorter arm opponents by slowing down the pace with jabs, excessive grappling and clinching.

Over the course of his career I've seen Wlad fight in many different styles. Wouldn't surprise me if he took the lead and stalked Wilder. Like you (or someone else) said, that would be very dangerous. But Wlad is defensively responsible and if the fight goes into the later rounds, I expect the younger fighter to loosen up his guard and eat some of the biggest blows he's ever experienced.
