He is fairly solid, he just doesn't belong in a P4P top 10 list.

I really tried scoring the Trout fight for Canelo, my objective mind just simply wouldn't let me.

I like canelo he comes himself as a true professional his all access is quite admirable but as a boxer his attribute sucks he has NO footwork , decent power and thats about it lol he was found out by Money... the guy can't win against slick faster guys such as Lara, imo he will be avoiding the quick movers, hes rated in p4p because of firstly his age lol hes in his early 20s and with 40+ wins , if he fought around 20+ he would be a nobody.

Same with borner won 3x titles in early age they both attract PPV because of that.

For the meantime once he gets a bout against a faster opponent, he will be finished

His power is good, his chin is good, his courage is good, he faces good opposition.

He just got bad stamina, predictable technique and is not very fast.

Loses to Trout, but gets a gift decision.
                    Gets absolutely dominated by Mayweather.
                    Beats a journeyman.
Loses to Lara, but gets a gift decision.

Personally, I don't find him impressive at all and I don't understand why so many people does. He got an entertaining style, is young and got room for improvement, sure, but many are making him out to be something he is not. I wish him and every other fighter well in the future, but be fair, even if you're a Mexican or a redhead or a fangirl or got some other reason to root for this guy, he is NOT P4P top 10 material right now...
The trout fight was close, I think he did enough in that. Lara was close too.

I tend to agree that he is over rated. Must note though that a lot tends to hang on the style of his opponents. Boxers and runners will make him look bad ... come forward fighters make him look good. One of his biggest problems is his inability to cut off the ring. Given time, he is very young, he could improve in this area. The three fights you mentioned were all against the same kind of style that gives him trouble. He needs to improve in that area.

He's a good fighter that's about it hes not elite. I think his power is real though and like his attitude that he brings into the ring

But the fact that he's 3-4 biggest star in boxing mostly based on his looks not what he's done in the ring that make him over rated.

I had him losing to Lara

Dominant against Angulo, but really how much stock can you take in that win considering how Angulo looked against Dela Rosa

                      Embarrassed by Mayweather

I scored it a draw against Trout

His win against Lopez was a disgrace, He basically jumped 2 weight classes and maybe at best a top 15-25 fighter

Mosley hadnt won in 3 years And was 40 years old

Cintron was past prime and on the tailed of his career.

You can even even go farther back and poke more holes in his resume.

I mean you can make a case he's not even in top 5 among 154s and in MW div maybe the weakest div in boxing he might not even be the top 3.
