Why would Hopkins even be on Froch's radar?

Hopkins is 3-2, in his last 5. 3-3 in his last 6 if you count when he quit against Dawson as a loss.

He just came off a 12-0 drumming against Kovalev and almost died in the last round.

That, on top of the fact he brings no money to the table.

I don't know why there is even a discussion.

How can you duck a guy that's barely even relevant? Makes no sense for Froch to fight Hopkins not financially or any other reason.

Someone should help Froch come back to reality if he really thinks Chavez is going to have a fight on April 18th, and then turn around and fight him in June. You never see that quick of a return, even by fighters much more active than Chavez. If that's the opponent he insists on, then a more realistic timetable would be less June and more, say, December.

Did he specify June? I think he's just going to wait to see what happens with Chavez. He may end up just fighting DeGale in the summer if Chunky can get a big win between now and then.
