How the hell was Cotto in it when he won 3 rounds max only???

See this is the **** that caused this rematch to happen.

If you lose freakin 9 rounds I'm sorry you got schooled.

And btw, if this fight does actually happen, this would be exactly what I predicted. I said the reason why its so important for Sergio Martinez to beat Cotto was because he'd probably end up fighting Mayweather at a catchweight of 155 for the lineal middleweight title. And Floyd will out box him again and the lineage will die there because obviously Floyd isn't going to defend it. It's one of the few lineal titles we can trace back over a decade and it will end over some blown up welterweights fighting each other and then vacating it.

Why would you want to see a rematch for the lineal title when you know damn well it will be a catchweight basically the same weight they already fought at just add a pound? You pretend like you care about boxing history but this would be a mockery of the lineal middleweight crown. The lineage will end after Floyd wins. **** that.

The Cotto fight should be somewhere up there with Judah (knocked Floyd down and should have won by DQ) and the De La Hoya fight.

While it's clear that Floyd won the first fight, 8-4 or 9-3, the perception is that the fight was competitive and "good" is because Cotto had a three round surge in the middle of the fight to make it 4-3 or so after round 7. Mayweather took over down the stretch and that was that.

The "rejuvenated" Cotto with Roach adds a small amount of intrigue, as does the middleweight belt, but faking negotiations with Pacquiao is going to give this a very bad look initially.

Once boxing fans wake up to the realty that we were played...again...by all sides, and once the promotion for this fight ramps up, people will get excited, buy the PPV and it will be a big event. Unfortunately.
