Most actually believe Mayweather vs Cotto was close...blame yourselves for rematch

First of all lets not act ****** here.

I remember seeing that fight and thinking "Man Floyd schooled that boy" but I kept hearing from the writers and most fans tell me that the fight was actually close.

I never believed that garbage one bit and always challenged everybody that told me that. I ask "what round did Cotto win other than 2 and 6????" I believe those were the only rounds I had Cotto winning and if you want you can give him 9 but that still leaves it 9-3 in Floyds favor so HOW WAS THIS FIGHT CLOSE???

The fans basically should have rewatched the fight and realized Floyd schooled this boy and then STFU about Floyd struggling against Cotto.

    BUT NO!!!!

Most writers and fans and freakin HBO was gushing on about how Cotto "made it a fight" or "what a close fight!!!prime Cotto would have beaten Floyd because Floyd struggled against this past prime Cotto!!!"

Then Cotto beats a bum in Rodriguez and now most clowns here where "Wow if a trained Cotto would have fought Floyd that night Cotto would have won!!! No doubt!!!"

    ROFL

You clowns really did this to yourselves.

Look at Roach saying that he'll never rematch Cotto and this whole notion again comes from the freakin fans and boxing writers always saying that the fight was freakin close when it never was!!!

Boxing trainer Freddie Roach has said before that he thinks Miguel Cotto would’ve defeated Floyd Mayweather back in May 2012 had Roach been working with him at the time. Now that Cotto has become the lineal middleweight champion with a 10th-round stoppage of Sergio Martinez, Roach was again asked about a Mayweather rematch. He doesn’t think that it will happen — and part of that is because of his assessment of Mayweather’s win over Marcos Maidana this past May.

Then look at these BoxingScene articles where the notion is that it was a tough fight and a close fight LOL. Then you have here how supposedly Cotto protested the scores!!! LMAO

Former three division champion Miguel Cotto (37-3, 30KOs) has denied some of the recent comments that were published by various outlets, which most outlets attributed to him, regarding his alleged disgust with the scoring of Saturday's fight with Floyd Mayweather Jr. (43-0, 26KOs) - and that includes a post on his official Twitter page, which has now been removed.

Pedro Diaz, the trainer of former three division world champion Miguel Cotto (37-3, 30KOs), is proud of his boxer's performance last Saturday night at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Cotto lost his WBA 154-pound title when the official judges awarded a twelve round unanimous decision to Floyd Mayweather Jr. (43-0, 26KOs).

By Jake Donovan - Floyd Mayweather Jr. was forced to work at his hardest in more than a decade, but still came up aces in a unanimous decision win over Miguel Cotto in an entertaining pay-per-view headliner Saturday evening at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas Scores were 117-111 (twice) and 118-110 for Mayweather, who weighed 151 lb for the super welterweight title fight. Cotto came in at the divisional limit of 154 lb. Both combatants were cordial throughout the pre-fight promotion, though tension quickly arose during Friday’s weigh-in. The threat of it spilling over into the fight was quickly averted, as Cotto shoulder lifted Mayweather off of the canvas but stopped well short of dropping him through the ropes in the second round. The two exchanged pleasantries as they were separated, with Cotto offering a mea culpa in the form of a love tap on the side of Mayweather’s head.

MGM Grand, Las Vegas - Floyd Mayweather Jr. (43-0, 26KOs) became the WBA's junior middleweight champion with a twelve round unanimous decision over Miguel Cotto (37-3, 30KOs) in a fantastic fight. The scores were 118-110, 117-111, 117-111. They went to war, they traded punches, they traded blood - but Mayweather's accurate punches gave him the edge in several close rounds.

    Then look at the comments

Again the fans and boxing writer basically asked for a freakin rematch and now they got so blame yourselves.

There has literally been no talk from Mayweathera or cotton camp about a fight, but people continue to make up whatever they want just to create drama

You moron I'm against the rematch but the thing I'm pointing out is that the fight is only happening because you clowns were screaming how this fight was close and Floyd DID NOT school Cotto when freakin Cotto only won 3 rounds at best.

Story of the Fight: (116-112) A tough competitive fight that Floyd clearly won after dominating the final four; Cotto did crush his nose though.
