Kind of expected something like this as soon as Jr announced signing with Haymon. Nothing wrong with this fight, closely matched I guess. Something seemed off about the Froch fight from the get go. Canelo-Cotto off the table, Pac-May more than likely off the table, Froch-Jr never really on the table but done for now...let's go 2015!

No fight with Chavez against an elite fighter is any good and worth taking out poms poms for anymore. That includes Froch or Golovkin. Only reason people want those fights is so their favorite fighter can get a payday against a name fighter.

Fonfora vs Chavez on the other hand should be seen close to an even fight. And I'm gonna take my poms poms out because I get to see the spoiled brat get his ass beaten by a fellow average fighter instead of getting that guaranteed $15M in the TR deal.

I wanted Froch-Chavez because it would have been a big fight and a big event that would have been good for the sport. Could have been an exciting fight too.

When "exciting fight" is secondary to someone, all I'm hearing is "wish fulfillment for my favorite fighter"

Do people really think that lowly of Froch? You see Chavez go life and death with a mediocre blow middleweight who is outweighed by a dozen pounds twice in a row and think "Jeez, this Chavez will surely be competitive and exciting against one of the greatest super middleweight fighters of all time"
