Loyalty is more important than money really? Push came to shove haymon would throw these guys under the bus if it meant more money for himself. He cares more about his own interests and he proved that by making Peter quillen vacate his belt

Im a bit skeptical of these reports, because with both Iskowitz and Shaw on board at Roc, two VERY experienced boxing guys, they know damn well you cant just go around offering deals to fighters that already have known representation. Its called tortious interference, and neither Shaw or Isky are dumb enough to try that nonsense.

But the bigger laugh is Guerrero saying "loyalty is more important than money", considering he just recently sued to try and get out of his contract with Golden Boy

Those fighters all lack promotional representation, which is distinctly different than what they have with Al. I imagine RN would love for someone to push tortious interference in regards to those fighters. It would give the Ali Act some teeth.

Its called a contract. Once you're represented by him you give up all control of your career. Could be good could be bad. Look at Broners case. I dont see him making $40mil in 5yrs with Haymon. He's a b level boxer who will lose to all the top lww's and ww's.

Broner is only 25 years old. Barring any injuries, he should be fighting 3 to 4 times per year. Over 5 years, you're easily looking at 15-17 fights. Basically would need to average around $2.5m per fight to get to the Roc Nation number. If his star power really starts to cross over, he'll get to that $40m even quicker.

You may think that he's only a B fighter who will lose to any somebody at 140/147, but Haymon gives him the freedom to find that out on his own. If he keeps winning, he goes onto bigger fights and bigger purses; if he loses, he stalls a bit and gets moved to a different opportunity. He's got a TV-friendly style, is charismatic, and works with an advisor who has established strong TV relationships and can get him fights.

Roc Nation confirmed they approached Thurman and Wilder and also said they would speak to other Haymon fighters. I have no doubt they approached a few more guys after the Golden Boy/Haymon split. Technically those fighters are NOT under any promotional contracts.
