    A-Side= Drawing Power

Cotto can sell out MSG fighting anybody, also although not Mayweather or Pacquiao PPV Numbers, he does Solid PPV Numbers

I don't know WTF some of you are talking about point out who he lost to and all this other BS!

You wanna know what makes him the A-SIDE? Is the fact that he don't need Canelo!

He isn't the A-side. Alvarez is the bigger draw. Cotto has just become a massive diva. There are a good many ignorant posters who don't understand the concept of a revenue draw.

Canelo wants Cotto fight, thus Cotto is A-side.
Froch wants Chavez Jr., Chavez Jr. is A-side.
GGG wants anyone of the above, and GGG will be B-side.
If Ward wants GGG, Ward has to be B-side.
        Same is true for Pac-Floyd.

Canelo no longer wants the cotto fight. If cotto's reps reach out to canelos people to re-negotiate does that makes canelo the a-side?

Canelo needs to get mad and challenge GGG to a fight.

Yes. That`s what Oscar meant when he said "If we're going to make a future deal down the line, in the future this year or next year - I guarantee that its going to be on Canelo's term".

A and B sides have NEVER been resume-based. It's ALWAYS been based on which fighter is the the one that brings in the most revenue (popularity-based in a sense although popularity doesn't necessarily = revenue). This, of course, can change depending on the negotiating position of the sides (including how much the B-side and his team will accept and how much the A-side and his team is willing to concede for the ranking, title(s), etc.)

Now... Considering Canelo's fight against Mayweather (just a year after Cotto's) sold about a Million more PPVs than Cotto's, I definitely wouldn't accept less than 50-50 if I were on Canelo's team, but I would also play hardball for 50-50 if I were on Cotto's team due to his track record and titles.

I can see why negotiations were stagnant; I'm surprised that the negotiations got as far as they did.
