Little to no money in revenues, sales etc. If Pacquiao was to get the date of course. Cotto is only ducking the loss of money.

He wouldn't lose out on any money because the fight would simply be moved to another date if Mayweather and Pacquiao was made, regardless of how much Alvarez b*tched about it.

Did you even read the article? Cottos advisor said it wasn't about dates, it was about money. Oscar said a month ago canelo agreed to lesser money. He moved off of 50/50. Cotto just wanted more and more i.e. Priced himself out. The networks are the ones who decide on which date not canelo. If Manny and Floyd get signed the networks will have that fight may 2nd, even canelo knows that. How could he go head to head with Manny and Floyd when both ShowTime and HBO are showing that fight lol alls cotto had to do was sign, he pussed out and he lost me and alot of others as a fan. He turned down a career high payday just because canelo wouldn't bend over and let cotto screw him, its ridiculous. Boxers nowadays care more about what the other fighter makes even if they themselves are making a career payday. When mike Tyson fought Lennox Lewis Tyson was by far the bigger ppv draw, yet they split the money 50/50. Why? Because it was a career payday for Tyson, he wouldn't have made that without Lewis. Same situation here. Cotto is already getting more than 50/50 and q career high payday, but backed out because he felt canelo was getting more than he deserved. That's called ducking and pricing yourself out.

Turning your back on Cotto who's a first ballot HOF and potentially the 2nd biggest fight of year In favor of Kirkland on regular HBO. This is a joke right .

Oscar definitely wants the best fighting the best, his actions are crystal clear about that.

How anyone on here can defend Oscar & Canelo is beyond me. Oscar is such a trash promoter.

Canelo is the diva here. 5 deadlines? He makes khan not seem desperate.

If pac/may doesn't need to finalized today, why does Canelo/cotto? Patience Canelo. You do not call the shots.

Did you read the article? Canelo accepted lesser money and everything and cotto kept asking for more and more. That's called pricing yourself out and I dint blame canelo because he's wasted his time giving in to every demand and cottos side isn't really showing an eagerness to fight him. You can tell just by the statements they make who really wants the fight. Oscar puts pressure in the media saying he agreed to lesser money and all the other demands, while cottos side keeps saying its not done and we have other options and its still not enough money and blah blah. Bottom line is cotto priced himself out, which fir me is disappointing because cotto was one of my favorites and now it seems he doesn't want to take the hardest fights available. I could understand fighting someone else for more money but this was a career high payday and cotto us middleweight champion draggin canelo up from light middleweight regardless of how you look at it. If hes a true champion at middleweight defend it against the best and who will give you your career payday. No excuse not to take this fight whatsoever. It wasn't about dates at all read the article.

Why would they expect Cotto to take a deal when Pac-Floyd isn't even official yet - he's obviously waiting to see if Floyd 2 would be an option for him. The date of this fight was going to get pushed back anyway unless Floyd decided on Khan. What is the rush?
