this is the thing about stans. logic goes out the window when it doesn't apply to their favorite subjects.

how anyone can jump to the conclusion that mayweather vs pac won't happen because cotto/canelo isn't happening is beyond me. there has to be some sort of a virus on boxingscene that removes all common sense from the posts most of you write.

Pacquiao and Cotto are both under the same trainer. Pacquiao wants May 2 against Mayweather, the biggest fight to date. Cotto is being pressured by Canelo to accept the same date Pacquiao wants to fight. Cotto knows if he tries to get the date, it would be bad for business. Little to no money in revenues,sales etc. If Pacquiao was to get the date of course. Cotto is only ducking the loss of money.

Seems as though cotto simply priced himself out and demanded too much money. Shameful. To the poster who said you'd like to see him get a career high payday vs. Mayweather- he only made 8 million for their last fight when mayweathers ppv's were guaranteed over a million. There's no way they could afford to pay him that much. Nobody wants to see it this time because it wasn't close the first time and mayweather would have to duck pacquiao to do so, so nobody would watch the fight. He would probably make like 6 million. He would make way more being A side against canelo. Its a fight that everyone wants to see and would do much more numbers than mayweather cotto. Cotto could probably make like 15 million. Hes just plain ******, that would have been his career payday and he blew it.
