    A. You win cleanly.
    B. You capitalize on that victory.

If you lose you aren't taking the date in any way shape or form. If you win, you have a chance.
u think mexicans/ricans will care about all that if canelo/cotto fight on may 2nd and pac/floyd fight doesnt happen? nope

they will order the canelo/cotto fight. just because floyd scraped past oscar doesnt mean he has the right to fight any bum on may 2nd for the rest of his career

It doesn't matter what the fans think, it's about maximizing your profit. Going up against a Floyd PPV with your own PPV is going to make you less money. Period end of discussion, you'd make more just avoiding it entirely.

wtf was the point of your post son?
BTW, Pac beat Oscar in December, YEARS after he already "supposedly" lost it, so how did he take Cinco De Mayo from De La Hoya, but Mosley and Hopkins didnt'?

you have a point as well. A boxer will get more money on may5 if there are no rival fights on at the same time. fact. I think what these pro-canelo guys are failing to see is that Mayweather will fight on May2 regardless. He has 32mil guarantee. even if canelo/cotto fight on the same night, and Mayweather fight rod salka, mayweather getting paid. Canelo trying to take the May date will not move Mayweather. The guy has too big ego to move.

Train A and Train B in a collision course. Train B MIGHT WIN but it dont matter. Both Trains getting ****ed up but Train A dont give a **** and will keep it moving.

canelo doesnt have to beat floyd to fight on may 2nd, he has to propose the bigger/better fight to take the date from him
You cant just pretend a fight doesnt happen and then say they can take it. If pac/floyd doesnt happen now i think that will be because of canelo/cotto falling through.
oscar saying he will move from that date for the fans is BS. he knows SHO and HBO would simply tell him to fu@k off.
and if he did care about the fans then he could of waited untill pac/floyd made their decision.
now it basically takes the pressure off that as there is no competition for the date.

u know what would make more business sense? for floyd to move out out of the date which he damn right would do in that scenario.

canelo/cotto would simply push him out of the date. no way would shotime allow him to go up against that fight with anything other than pac.

Canelo should have just waited till Floyd retired which is soon....instead of trying to go head to head with him.......
