Some of yall are so dumb. This "news" means nothing. It's PR. Once may/pac gets signed and Canelo realizes he's not fighting may 2 he's gonna run right back to cotto and their going to fight June in New York. What Cotto wanted the whole time. Canelo and Oscar look dumb as hell right now.

100% true. Cotto seemed like he was waiting it out. Canelo rushing the issue screwed himself. Theres no way he fights Kirkland on that date if Pac- May is made. Cotto can fight in June regardless.

Cotto has had a great career, but is past his best now. I would have liked to see the Canelo fight, but anyone above that level would be another loss IMO.

This is how I look at it. Canelo was so hell bent on May 2nd and impatient with the Mayweather situation. I believe he could have been patient with Cotto and made something work out. But the only other logical choice other than May 2nd would have been in June, most likely in MGS and I don't think Canelo would have wanted that at all so he jumped ship and went ahead with the Kirkalnd fight for May 2nd.

What I'd like to know is, if May-Pac does happen by some miracle on May 2nd, what's Canelo going to do? Reschedule with Kirkland or talk to Cotto's people about the fight? My gut tells me probably go ahead with the Kirkland fight on another date. I don't think he's willing to go into Cotto's turf on his holiday.

CAnelo is the true diva....everyone knows Cotto was just waiting to see what Floyd does...But Canelo is so obsessed with MAy 2nd date he gat impatient.....The only way he could get that date is if he fought Cotto and Floyd didnt fight Manny....Canelo should wait till Floyd retired to start trying to take that date
