I think its more so where Canelo is getting impatient. He wants to ink the fight for May 2nd NOW. If May and Pac agree to fight then Oscar and Co. will work around to change the date for Canelo afterwards. Cotto, however, doesn't wanna do that, he'd rather wait for Floyd and Manny to finish their business and then sign to fight Canelo more likely in June. If Cotto agrees to fight Floyd again, it will be a travesty for boxing.

Canelo has to do what's best for Canelo, whilst Cotto has to do what's best for cotto. They can seal the deal now so maybe another time. It's basically unrealistic to go up against a Mayweather-Pac fight at the moment, Cotto has better options at the moment than Canelo so I kinda of understand his hesitation.
