Did Kovalev actually said he didn't accept Pascal's late request or was it just Main Event that said no?
Kovalev ducking random testing?

Genuine or not, it doesn't make sense why Kovalev would want testing for Hopkins but not for Pascal. I suppose the power game is more important to Duva and that team.Pascal is doing this deliberately, a pathetic attempt at mind games, he always bring Random drug testing up after the negotiations and contracts have been sign (like with Hopkins).
If he's genuine about drug testing, why doesn't he bring it up during contract negotiations
If Pascal is serious about wanting testing, his dumbass needs to start bringing it up before the damn fight is official.Comment

If Kovalev refuses and the fight falls through that makes Pascal the one ducking right?
That would be the logical way of looking at it, right?Comment

If he's saying no to testing that is being paid for and has freakish power then yes mate I do reckon he's on something, just like I reckon Hopkins is a cheat as well, it was a miracle he was able to withstand some of those shots in that Kovalev fight, which there was no random testing in might I add, both as bad as each other. So don't tell me what I do and don't 'reckon' fool.Comment

hahah, there's some bull**** excuse from from Duva. I'm not accepting in any of that hiding behind the promoter nonsense.

Duva's response: "It has come to my attention that Jean Pascal has asked why Sergey Kovalev's team turned down a request for drug testing," Duva said. "Like Pascal, Sergey is a proud, clean professional athlete and he did not refuse to submit to enhanced drug testing. I am the one who doesn't want to do it.
"I have consistently said that I do not believe promoters should attempt to act as regulators. None of us have the competence, expertise or neutrality that is necessary to conduct drug testing in a fair and transparent way. We understand that this is an unpopular position, but after careful consideration we believe it is the right position nonetheless.Last edited by DoktorSleepless; 01-17-2015, 08:46 PM.Comment
