Yeah mental game. Why do you think Hopkins was doing push ups in the middle of the fight? He's saying look, I'm not even tired this is nothing and I'm double your age while you're still sitting on your stool catching your breath.
I understand your point, but to me, that is just a sad excuse. No one is above su****ion. Your word and your past mean doo-doo.
Posters criticized Bernard Hopkins, Andre Ward, and Wladimir Klitschko when the same exact thing happened to them. Why is Kovalev immune?
He isn't. It isn't something that I hold against them though. If Pascal decides he doesn't want to face Kov on the grounds that he's denying extra testing, then so be it.
Should have been in the contract.. bringing it up now does neither of them any good. That said, I think Kova should just do it, even though he isn't obligated to, it would be good for him to remove any doubt..
And depends when he asked. If he did like Edwin rod and asked ward to test AFTER they already signed contracts then I could see not doin it. But if he declined to do testing during negotiations then ruh roh
Did Pascal accused Kovalev of PEDs before asking him for Pascal Style Random Blood Test? Reeks
Pascal is doing this deliberately, a pathetic attempt at mind games, he always bring Random drug testing up after the negotiations and contracts have been sign (like with Hopkins).
If he's genuine about drug testing, why doesn't he bring it up during contract negotiations
I don't know if I can believe that Pascal is willing to pay for all the testing. Behind the scenes he's probably going to be begging Kovalev at some point to pay half. Putting up $50,000-100,000 for testing on Pascal's part is a huge commitment. I understand he's made a lot of money in the sport, but that's still a significant amount to put up for a fight. If he wanted random testing I'm sure they could have negotiated during the contract negotiations and split the cost. But I don't see him going through with it.
I don't think it's that expensive any more, at least not with VADA. $20,000 is closer to it.
Main Events and Kovalev should accept his offer, (a) because it's good for the sport and (b) because Pascal is going to bitch and moan about it for years.
