And now it's time for posters to drag Kov's name through the mud and discredit him for not wanting to take extra testing.

Yeah mental game. Why do you think Hopkins was doing push ups in the middle of the fight? He's saying look, I'm not even tired this is nothing and I'm double your age while you're still sitting on your stool catching your breath.

Damn it Kovalev. Refusing random testing does not look good.

We'll see how it plays out.

Remember how Hopkins reacted when Pascal challenged him to take the tests? Hopkins flipped shyte, and went in true roid-rage mode and tried to get at Pascal, and choke the French-accent right out of ole boy.

That was a clear sign to me that Hopkins was doping. Hopkins NEVER took the test either.

We'll see how it plays out - if the testing process is transparent, and not a shady organization/not biased/on Pascal terms, etc. - if it's straight up randomness for both fighters on equal terms, from reputable organization, and Kovalev turns it down, then I'll be first to criticize him and pretty much concede he's got something to hide... And I'm a HUGE fan of Kovalev.

But let's see how it plays out. There's so many variables we don't even know. Like I said - let's wait and see if the details of the testing Pascal wants is transparent, and fair.

When a fighter signs the contract and then complains about drug testing you know that he is just trying to piss off his opponent and/or undermine him and/or give himself an excuse if he loses. He knows that boxing fans on internet forums will gossip about it like teenage girls.

Hopkins didn't flip until Pascal put his hands on Hopkins. Hopkins was getting up to leave and smiling, while Pascal was screaming into the microphone and as Hopkins was about to leave Pascal pointed his finger into his chest and Hopkins said "don't put your hands on me" and then Pascal put his arm around Hopkins neck and that's when Hopkins pushed him. Pascal was acting like an absolute buffoon:

I don't know if I can believe that Pascal is willing to pay for all the testing. Behind the scenes he's probably going to be begging Kovalev at some point to pay half. Putting up $50,000-100,000 for testing on Pascal's part is a huge commitment. I understand he's made a lot of money in the sport, but that's still a significant amount to put up for a fight. If he wanted random testing I'm sure they could have negotiated during the contract negotiations and split the cost. But I don't see him going through with it.
