Those 2 fights were pretty much 4 years prior to Hop vs Kov (3 years and 11 months, 3 years and 10 months respectively). So yeah, big difference in a fighter with that many years passing by.

I thought Hopkins still had enoug in the tank to dominate Kovalev over 12 but he didn't even throw much of anything.

I'm going to go with the logical choice here and that is Kovalev by KO/TKO. Although i do think Pascal will cause problems for Kovalev, especially early on in the fight where i think Jean will have his best shot to make something dramatic happen. But if he fails to hurt Kovalev early, then he will likely gas out and get knocked out late.

Where I see Pascal being dangerous is when he's caught with a big shot, he has a warrior mentality and he'll immediately strike back with speed and a combination. One of these counter-attacks could catch Kovalev out and drop him, maybe hurt him too but I don't see Pascal finishing him, he's not a finisher. Kovalev to win, mid to late stoppage.

People don't understand there's a huge difference between 46 and 50 when compared to any 4 year gap previous to that

Level of decline increases exponentially in boxing

Pascal talking a lot of **** in the build up, if Kovalev comes in fired up Pascal won't last 4 rounds. Although I expect this to go to points.

he was gunshy because he knew he couldn't take what kovalev would throw back at him. when he tried to attack kovalev in the 12th round he ended up almost being koed himself
