I think the NBC card coming up pretty good but he hasn't been making fights people want, hopefully he will start now but we'll have to wait and see. Maybe the NBC thing will be good but where I live I can only get regular NBC, not NBC sports or anything like that so I wont be able to watch those fights and I know I wont be the only one. At least ill catch the first one I guess.

Comments Thread For: Why Boxing Needs To Root For Al Haymon For A Change

It's started.
Laughable that it's a private stream access only. Just like in his concert days, Al's attempting to assume complete & total control over the events. It does build some anticipation for those who care, but it also cuts off those who are unaware.

Zimmer said I wanted to write music to honor these men as people, as individuals and get behind story that happens in the ring.

Talking about Hans Zimmer composing the music for Premiere Boxing Champions, wonder what music he'll have for Peter Quillin?

Boxing does not need Haymon to succeed. He is one of the biggest problems in the business. He's burned bridges all over the place and in any business model, that is not a good sign. People still work with Haymon because they have no choice as he is prominent in the industry. He is the herpe that just will not go away.

Ok, a card with Guerrero v Thurman headlining, a fight which is somewhat relevant to the welterweight division and a co-feature of Broner v Molina, which is bound to be fun...I like it. I like it a lot.
I'm not about to jump on Haymons ass and say he is saving boxing but its good. If NBC can put on multiple cards of this calibre throughout the year then I'll start saying Haymon has impacted boxing positively.
Will Garcia v Peterson be on network television too?
