You conveniently left out Alvarado. He's a decent puncher and Provo took his clean shots like they were nothing. Matthysse was dropped twice by Molina, and there's nothing to suggest Molina is a bigger puncher than Alvarado.

Not saying Provo will beat Matthysse (Matthysse would be my slight favourite), but there's ample evidence that Provo has the better chin.

I was trying to make the point that Ruslan's face swells and puffs up from taking punches from non-punchers. Alvarado is a decent puncher but being able to take his punches doesn't mean he has a granite chin. I'd probably agree with you on the point that Provodnikov has a better chin but he's going to get hit more than Matthysse will. He had good starts against Bradley and Algieri but faded quickly and that will lead to him taking even more shots down the stretch. Really good fight though, hope it happens.

I agree with you. My take is that if Matthysse withstands the first 3 or 4 rounds then he will batter Provo late like he did with Molina, those first 4 rounds are the key for Provo to win, if he can't hurt Matthysse early he's in for a loong long night

Stylistically, I'd favour Provodnikov to beat Matthysse. Like Matthysse said in this article that he would stand and trade, Provodnikov is much stronger of the two and Matthysse has been knocked down several times now, and Provodnokov would pretty much KO him.
