Its not like anyone watches the bogus ShowTime mismatches anymore anyways. HBO took over completely in 2014.

HBO/SHO ratings don't mean anything except for PPV. There are no advertisements so why care. Also HBO is in 20% more home they'd better have more viewers.

What against a guy that served as a punching bag against khan? Broner made Malignaggi look like a world-beater. Khan made him look like a drunk bum off the streets. Just like Herrera made Danny look.

They have no other choice but to.if it wasnt for Bob getting in Oscars ear GBP would have still been the premier promotional stable in the business...this how bob intended it to be, Bob bought himself sometime..he needs to kick that bucket already

I guess the fact that most of Oscar's stable got signed to Haymon without any binding to GBP with the help of Schaefer had nothing to do with it. That was a dirty move by Richard & Al to steal fighters right from under Oscar's nose. Kind of sounds like collusion to me. Personal problems or not, Oscar started that company and got jacked by Al & Rich.

GBP shined in 2013, thanks to Schaefer, Haymon and with Showtime staging their cards which were stacked, HBO was forced to dig deep in order to compete and Top Rank was almost a non-factor that year. All this added up as great for the fans.

Thanks to Bob, Golden Boy has effectively lost most of there marquee fighters. Although i believe GBP will continue to be a major player, with Schaefer and Haymon they were THEE MAJOR PLAYER. Bob struck a heavy blow to GBP and they are still recovering.

Ive boiled it down to a simple formula: When Top Rank is struggling, Boxing thrives. When Top Rank is thriving, Boxing struggles.
And just when we almost had Bob out, ALMOST!! Oscar comes throwing him a life jacket..SMFH. And how has that helped Oscar??? Bob robs his fighter(herrera) & proves hes still the same ol snake.

What are you talking about? How is bob arum bad for boxing? Hes always given the best fights available and even calls his fighters out when they duck people. If anything top rank threw golden boy a life jacket. HBO/top rank swept the floor in 2014 without help from anyone. Its funny that every single promoter works with top rank except al haymon, but then again haymon is also trying to block out roc nation and has been blocking Oscar from making good fights. Bob arum is the best promoter on the business, at least for the fans anyways. And you don't hear the fighters complaining that much either, even Mikey Garcia said he was happy with the way top rank has handled his career and hopes to be back fighting with them. Tim Bradley resigned with them, so did pacquiao. Cotto still works with them in a fight for fight basis and so does Marquez. Chavez only left because he ducked ggg whom bob arum called Chavez out for ducking him. Top rank is still the top dogs

The BoxingScene article seems to be incorrect as it states Danny Garcia and Adrien Broner are going to GBP. Kevin Iole's article states the opposite, Garcia and Broner will go to Haymon. The article does state that Khan, Matthysse, and Santa Cruz will remain with GBP.

Please explain how bob arum is bad for boxing when he is the best promoter in the game and has been doing it for so long? There's a reason hes been on top for 50 years and its not because he's bad for the sport obviously

He's been doing that since Richard left, makes sense for Canelo because that's where the big fights for him are at HBO, but Oscar cut off his nose to spite his face because it was almost a forgone conclusion that he was going to be left in the cold it was the only move he could make.

This pretty muchs sums it up. Golden Boy / Al Haymon / Showtime and the sport in general could of been just fine standing alone at the top. Bob Arum and Top Rank just don't have enough value $$ to offer besides Manny Pacquiao. There was ABSOLUTELY no need for Oscar and GBP to go out of their way to work with Top Rank. GBP did not need to get rid of Richard, a guy who showed how great he is at what he does in the year 2013. Now i just don't know how things are going to turn out..let's hope it's all for the better.

Oscar wasn't wanted or needed among Mayweather/ Haymon / Shaeffe/ Espinoza r , This was his only move he could make.

Just watch almost everyone Oscar got is still tied up with Haymon and as soon as the opprotunity arises they'll most likely be gone too.
