Oscar made a ****** move trying to team with Arundel just to spite Floyd. He put all his effort into that canelo cotto fight to knock Floyd off of May only to have cotto say no to May all together and not even try to put on big fights with any other fighters in his stable.

Now haymon has the ww division locked down and is bringing them to regular tv for more exposure and stable pay.

I can tell you this and you heard it here First. Golden boy will merge with top rank and all those fighters haymon took will be money team fighters.

MP dosent appear to be ready to do any major shows. Goosen and Warriors have requested dates in march @ the MGM.

As for Schaefer, the article was pretty nebulous, but it did state he was barred "from promoting" for a time frame but it didnt specify how long. It would be reasonable to assume GBP's attorneys made precise stipulations as to what he can and cant do, and it probably means ANYTHING boxing related, which would encompass contractor / consultant work, but just for a much shorter period of time than his non compete clause stipulated. Hence why Mayweather Promotions isnt doing much.

Mayweather Promotions has run, if I had to guess, over 10 shows under their own banner and were the lead promoter for Mayweather-Maidana 2 (with Golden Boy also being affiliated with that event). You add that Mayweather has already brought in Schaefer's old #2, to handle the operations under Ellerbee, and I think MP is better positioned to handle major shows than in perceived.

In terms of legalese, I only brought up "consulting" in the sense that Schaefer could use a relationship that he already has to clarify a question that could come up for a company working with Haymon (ie. DiBella promotes a Haymon show in New York, with Schaefer having a connection with the folks at the Barclays Center, that gets DiBella access to a venue that he otherwise wouldn't have access to).

pretty sure that he's got good enough legal representation to give himself a good amount of freedom.
