Cool to know, now GBP can go their own way with their fighters, and Mayweather, Al and Schaefer can go ahead with their plans and go do there own route. This is going to be an interesting year of boxing.

schaefer stacked fights so people can be a promotional company CEO fans. Its called a resume. He knew he was leaving. Why would he not give the people a lasting impression that he was the best matchmaking mother****er alive?

Now im not saying he premeditated that or he is bamboozling the fans, but its exactly what happened. I too want to see stacked cards. I dont care who puts it on. But seeing as this Schaefer guy has a history of it, then why wouldnt i check out what he puts on whether it be under Haymon's payroll or whoever?

This is great news. Boxing is better with Richard Schaefer. This year went downhill immediately after Schaefer left GBP.

Since you're so informed on the Asian market why don't you enlighten us to what kind of numbers Pac did in those fights you mentioned. Those PPV buys you're referring to are American PPV buys correct?

Schaefer put together some of the best cards in the past few years. This can be one of the greatest years in boxing in a long time.

Thanks to Bob, Golden Boy has effectively lost most of there marquee fighters. Although i believe GBP will continue to be a major player, with Schaefer and Haymon they were THEE MAJOR PLAYER. Bob struck a heavy blow to GBP and they are still recovering.

Ive boiled it down to a simple formula: When Top Rank is struggling, Boxing thrives. When Top Rank is thriving, Boxing struggles.
And just when we almost had Bob out, ALMOST!! Oscar comes throwing him a life jacket..SMFH. And how has that helped Oscar??? Bob robs his fighter(herrera) & proves hes still the same ol snake.
This pretty muchs sums it up. Golden Boy / Al Haymon / Showtime and the sport in general could of been just fine standing alone at the top. Bob Arum and Top Rank just don't have enough value $$ to offer besides Manny Pacquiao. There was ABSOLUTELY no need for Oscar and GBP to go out of their way to work with Top Rank. GBP did not need to get rid of Richard, a guy who showed how great he is at what he does in the year 2013. Now i just don't know how things are going to turn out..let's hope it's all for the better.

I agree, everyone can part ways and let the dust settle. It'll be interesting with all the players for sure. I think this can only be good for boxing, more avenues for fighters & more competition usually is a good thing.

They have no other choice but to.if it wasnt for Bob getting in Oscars ear GBP would have still been the premier promotional stable in the business...this how bob intended it to be, Bob bought himself sometime..he needs to kick that bucket already

Yes because al haymon has been blocking fights. If you guys would ever do a little investigating, they only reported half the story here.

Oscar was getting frustrated because he had to go through haymon to put in good fights and he was blocking them. He settled so that he is now free to match those guys with whoever he wants.

This is huge news! Not only is golden boy and top rank doing business again, but Oscar is free to match some haymon managed fighters with whoever he wants because he now has the promotional rights to them. Al haymon can take broker and Garcia to NBC to fight rod salka for peanuts lol real boxing fans will get to watch some great fights between top rank and golden boy. This is what we have all been waiting for!
