    I'm not confusing anything

The RING's claim to Mayweathers lineage (one of a few, such as TBRB, CBZ) is the win over Guerrero

Now if Larry's claim is that because nearly all outlets see him as Lineal, then he is, then surely he has to agree with their reasoning behind it. In this case, it's the Mayweather-Guerrero fight.

If thats not the case then, both TBRB and the RING haven't recognised his view of lineage.

Those are two big beasts to oppose to be honest, as much as I personally disregard the RING.

I accept that Floyd has a semi-recognised lineage, but to me that means nothing unless that lineage is universally recognised. However, I do not confuse being the best fighter in the division and the lineal champion - because Floyd is head and shoulders above the rest of the division.

Pac has never been Lineal or #1 at WW because Roach was too afraid to fight Mosely. And all that #1 P4P ended around the same time also

Also you have to see what the ratings were at the time for The Ring magazine

Mayweather beat Marquez, Mosley, and Ortiz at 147.
Marquez beat Pacquiao and he became #2 WW, I think Mosley became 3 WW, and Ortiz was 4 and then 5 Guerrero. I wouldn't make sense for Mayweather to fight Marquez, Mosley, and Ortiz again to become The Ring champ.

This is one of the things I can't stand about boxing. Marquez beats Manny who was the best fight in the world for about three years straight. But does Marquez get ranked as the best fighter no that honor goes to Mayweather who was beating fighters ranked 3-6.

Boxing as a whole doesn't make since though.

Marquez was beaten by Mayweather. So It wouldnt make sense to rank him #1 when Mayweather beat him

              But.....Margacheato beat cotto doe!

How did floyd duck cotto after he beat mosely?

Floyd fought hatton in decemeber 07...cotto was already being positioned to fight margorito, which was why he took a tuneup with gomez, and on the same card margorito foght cintron in a rematch..

Where was floyd??? Oh thats right he was negotiating a rematch with oscar for september 08...what happened to cotto??? He got beat my margacheato! There were never any negotiations. For the two to fight in 06,07,08 EVER until 2012!

TBH, who gives a **** about all this Lineal crap, Let's say Mosley was the Lineal Champ does that make Floyd The true Champ? Yes in ****** rankings but fighting Pac in 2010 and beating him would have been more historic and elevate Floyds legacy more than any "Lineal" Title will, ATG status is better than calming your a Lineal champ. Everyone knew Pac and Floyd were the top 2 guys, and at the end of the day its name value that counts more than having a dumb so called "Lineal" Title.

Ring does not always translate to linage man...Roy was never lineal at 175 but was Ring champion..Hopkins was not lineal when he beat Tarver but was Ring champ
