TBRB is probably the only ranking that has it correct. I don't see how anyone can rank Floyd champion and still be legit. He was granted the Ring Title after beating #4 ranked Robert Guerrero which was only made possible because of Ring Magazines new criteria.

Imagine if fighters from the 70's and 80' could just beat the 4th best fighter in their division and be crowned champion, so many great fights would have never came to fruition.

You can have him #1 but to call him champion is kind of laughable.

Floyd is the lineal champion because he beat the previous lineal champion, Baldomir. Then, he beat Mosley, who established a new lineage when he beat Margarito.

Yes and that's why most have him lineal even though some dispute it because Paul Williams was actually the #2 WW when Mosely and Margarito fought. Problem.with thst is Paul Williams proceeded to leave the division and he never came back. Then there's the whole, cotto was ranked higher than mosely still crowd. For all intents and purposes tho, Shane established a new lineage by beating Margarito.

Yes he beat Baldomir who was somehow lineal champion but he retired. Once you retire the lineage is stripped away from you. You can't just hold on to it forever.

Then he beat Mosley which was all good but he went to prison, which to my understanding strips you of the title.

However even if he wasn't stripped for going to prison he should have been stripped because he retired in between the Mosley and Ortiz fights . And to cap it all off the Mosley and Ortiz fights were more then a year apart.

He returned to the division after another year an a half to fight Robert and was granted the ring title. After that all the boxing sites decided to place he as champion, all except Transnational Rankings.

It's a bit of a mess because of Pac and Floyd not fighting. The #1 spot being vacant due to that is fair enough. It's a joke they're still avoiding each other.

man you have no clue at all to what you are talking about do you?? he did not retire after Mosley at all and what do you mean Baldo"somehow was lineal"?? he beat the man who beat the man fair and square..he was lineal when he beat baldo..then retired..then Shne became lineal after he beat Margo after margo beat Cotto...so there is no argument he is the legit lineal champion
