How reliable have you found BoxRec to be?

As im sure everyone knows by now BoxRec put up (then subsequently took down) Pac Vs May on May 2nd....

Now people are ripping them for being "unreliable"....

I remember they posted up May Ortiz well ahead of the official announcement and it turned out to be ture....

I find them fairly reliable in all other facets of the sport...

is this "unreliable" tag warranted in your opinion?

    wachugot???

I think they are reliable, however I think they themselves some time fall into fan hype and rumors.

A good question would be is, does boxrec have a inside man into the sport, someone with credible ties to promotional companies/networks or boxers?

Because alot of times they have been right and rarely wrong

That's not true. Boxrec gets a lot of things correct and is a great resource for fans, promoters, fighters, managers, etc. but they also frequently get things wrong

True. I have made tons of corrections there about past bouts but they are still the best source for data. Far more reliable than any other source I know of.

I just use as a fight calender. They remind who is fighting next. I dont go with them for fight announcements.

They are not reliable like Wikipedia. This fight will never happen. Enjoy Floyd vs Khan and Pacquiao vs Vargas lol.
