I think if you can't get any big fights in your division and a guy one division above you is ready to fight and is the biggest fight, then it's a duck if you don't take it...especially when you've said you'd fight anyone from 154-168.

I don't see Triple G ducking Ward thought at all... Ward isn't even fighting and doesn't even have a promoter to negotiate for him

        Too many haters in here

Ward doesn't deserve a fight with GGG. The kid is boring, only fights in Oakland and sues his promoter too much to even get a regular fight, let alone a super fight. Besides, Ward NEEDS to move up and fight Kovalev, Stevenson, Beterbiev etc

Lol Ward ain't fight since Nov. of 2013 doe. And if GGG called him to fight right now, Ward would either say no cuz he needs a few tune ups or that he's still having promotion problems. Forget about Ward already man. And this is from a Cotto fan that could easily **** on Golovkin by bringing up Ward whenever I get **** about cotto maybe not fighting GGG.

                Stop making up lies.

Nobody on GGG's team said they didn't want to fight Ward because the time wasn't right. This is what Golovkin actually said. "I think that in the future this fight would be much bigger and that would be better for everyone."

Nothing like "I don't want to fight him because ..." in that statement or anywhere else.

ill tell u how that call will go
team ward: i want to fight ggg
team ggg: i like mexican come forward fighters, no money, fight at 160

i get it, ward is risky fight so they want big money but after complaining about lack of opponents and then calling out everyone from 154-168 it makes the backtracking look bad

why would ward move down to 160 when ggg said he is willing to fight anyone from 154-168? chad offered to come down to 168
You just made up a conversation off the top of your head, then quoted it as if it had actually happened - and you think that proves something? ... other than that you are an immature idiot?

If GGG can't get a fight with the Canelo/Cotto winner than he should strongly consider a fight with Froch. Get HBO on board, PPV in late summer and I think it could do well. That's if Froch can retain his title, looks like he may be getting stripped soon due to the DeGale mando.

You continue to argue that GGG cannot afford to fight Ward as a loss wrecks GGG's marketability removing his cloak of invincibility. As GGG is the middleweight and Ward the super-middle weight, I believe you are wrong. It is Ward's rep that will suffer as he loses to GGG the middleweight, and lose to GGG Ward will. Ward cannot hurt GGG, but GGG can and will beat Ward as he's never been beaten before. As I see it, this is a rehash of Ali-Frazier I. A fight where fans were in denial even after Ali lost convincingly to Frazier. I saw it in '71, and you'll see it too if Andre ever gets his career on track. Count on it. By the way, Andre's official website has him listed as being 6'1" tall, so just what is his height?
