Ward still has a better resume than GGG even though he's inactive for 1 year and 2 months.

Former Hype Jobs Arthur Abraham and Lucian Bute also both have a better resume than him.

ward should move up to 175.the 168 division is full of washed up former champs ward should have moved up a long time ago. instead of trying to fight the smaller ggg who would knock out ward anyway.ggg still needs to clean out his division unlike ward.

Ward is only an inch taller than Golovkin. He's closer to 5'11" than 6''0'. I think he's going to move up to 175 eventually fighting the winner of Kovalev, and Stevenson super fight.

So: a year ago, Ward wanted to fight Groves next. He couldn't fight him, therefore he fought nobody since then.

fair enough. havnt heard stevenson/kovaleuv call him out though, if they do and he makes excuses than yes its a duck. still want to see him fight degale though if he wins title and unless canelo/cotto want to fight ggg there aint nothing for him at 160 so he should move too

Ward should fight DeGale, but I don't think that the Brit would like to travel...
Ward badly needs one or two serious tune ups this year, in case he wants to really make it back on top of the sport...

Stevenson made an offer to Ward, both before and after he was champion at light heavy, for a two fight deal. The first would be at 168 in California, the second at light heavyweight in Canada.

And Kovalev's side has also expressed real interest in a Ward fight, with Ward saying, "I could beat Kovalev, but then what?" as an excuse not to make the fight.

I don't see any evidence that Golovkin's team want him in with Ward, but to be honest they're fairly low on the list of offenders as things stand.

Miguel Cotto is going around calling himself the middleweight champ yet has no interest in Golovkin. Mayweather and Pacquiao have failed to fight the next best guy in their division for the fifth year running. Chavez Jr has been either stoned or on a fast food binge since his last serious fight two years ago.

These are the standards the biggest names in the sport are being held to. Any fans of these guys would want to check their fire before opening up on Golovkin.
