HBO told Ward they're not buying his tune-up fights (likely due to his $1.75 mill guarantee).
K2 could make Andre Ward an offer for the May 16th fight and realistically what do people think Ward's response would be?
- Would Ward fight Golovkin for just $2mill?
- Would Ward fight Golovkin without any tuneup fights?
- Is Ward legally able to fight now that he's suing & being sued by his promoter?
Somebody tweet Loeffler and tell him to make an offer and call Andre's bluff. Team Ward talking when they know the fight can't happen.Comment

Ward "I want to fight you."
Golovkin "Great but aren't you suing your current promoter to get out of your contract"
Ward "yes, so?"
Golovkin "hmm well, can we actually fight then?"

Can we please suspend any threads about Andre Ward until he becomes an active fighter again? He hasn't fought in forever and his late promoter gave him a fantastic deal that overpays him for every fight. Absolutely ridiculous for a fighter that doesn't bring much to the table as far as fans, tickets, excitement etc.Comment

I dont give two ****s about Andre ward at this point. He's boring and he's not fighting anyone anymore. Wtf has be done over the last 2+ yrs??? Beat Edwin Rodriguez??? Smh GGG isnt p4p talent but he's fighting the best available fighters at 160 pounds.Comment

Of course it will. GGG clearly wants to unify160, or at least get his big fight against Canelo or Cotto. After that there aren't many big fights at 160, it would make financial sense to fight Ward at 168. Only other guy that is more money is Chavez but he'll probably be a heavyweight by then.Comment

Last fight over a year ago, 2 fights in 3 years but we are supposed to believe he is serious about fighting Golovkin or indeed anyone else soon? Call me slightly sceptical.
Ward "I want to fight you."
Golovkin "Great but aren't you suing your current promoter to get out of your contract"
Ward "yes, so?"
Golovkin "hmm well, can we actually fight then?"

Team GGG: WE WILL KILL EVERYONE FROM 160-175! FEAR US!

Team GGG: "Uhmmmm.....welll...uhmm....you see the thing is....uhmmm.....financial sense....uhmmm....focused on 160...uhhmm....did i mention financial sense?"

Well you could actually post facts of how the conversation actually went.

I take issue with the responses in these threads which list a bunch of excuses as if GGG would fight Ward at the drop of the hat if he wasn't inactive or had legal issues. You've even got people demanding Ward be stripped of belts or to stop threads being made about him. It's pathetic.
We all know they don't want to fight Ward right now so why are people trying to sugar coat it?Comment
