Doesn't sound like you had 25 in the first place. What I said was perfectly true and you know that.
I just used a pretty decent example re: Hopkins-Kovalev. Hopkins got in excess of $3million for the fight. Kovalev got just over $1million. The fight was NOT on PPV.
Golovkin's highest purse so far is $900k. With a similar model, he'd top that purse comfortably whilst Ward would also earn in excess of his highest payday.
However, Golovkin's team aren't willing to take that kind of risk I'm afraid. As per Tom Loeffler's words, they need a PPV model to make the fight happen.Comment

Source for Hop Kov purse? Most commonly reported figure was 500k for Kov so youre likely making things up.Doesn't sound like you had 25 in the first place. What I said was perfectly true and you know that.

I imagine Ggg would want 2m, same as for Chavez, and Ward 3m+. That doesnt happen off ppv.Comment

NEW YORK – Doubters question whether Sergey Kovalev has been properly prepared in his first 26 professional fights for the challenge he’ll encounter Saturday night at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City. Kovalev even admits we’ll have to wait until after he boxes Bernard Hopkins to truly know. One thing is clear, though. Kovalev (25-0-1, 23 KOs) genuinely appreciates what is by far the most important opportunity of his five-year pro career – a light heavyweight championship unification fight against the legendary Hopkins (55-6-2, 32 KOs, 2 NC).
Kovalev purse reported as just over $1million by BoxingScene.
Yes....GGG needs the fight to be on PPV to take the risk. That's what I've been saying.Comment

What agenda? I have said a million times that I have no problem with Golovkin's position.
Ward is a risk his people are simply not willing to take right now and I completely understand that. Why can't you?Comment

Ppv is necessary to meet BOTH fighters purse demands, ******. Wards are higher, yet he brings no money like Chavez, Froch. You have suggested its on team Ggg to make him an offer which is ridiculous and doesnt make financial sense, get it dumbfcuk?Comment

I said it's on both sides to be willing. So far I haven't heard Ward say that the fight doesn't make financial sense. Only one side are saying that and only one side are unwilling to negotiate. I never said its on anyone to make an offer. HBO put up the money and the it's on both sides to agree a split.Ok wheres the source for BHops 3m?

If GGG's team were willing to take a gamble, they'd take a low end of the purse like Kovalev did. They are clearly not willing to take that risk without PPV.
This debate has been long redundant. It's evident you won't allow your fanboy pride to admit that Andre Ward is too big a risk for Golovkin right now. I'm moving on.Comment
