Eighteen months ago this would have been classified as a good matchup and a pretty risky fight for Mayweather. Funny how quickly opinions can change.

I still like the fight, Matthysse is far better at closing distance than Maidana, faster hands and feet and arguably just as powerful. Only thing against him is he's a little undersized.

That's why I think Matthysse should go all out for the Broner fight, if he KOs him he puts himself in pole position for the September date.

When has Floyd ever fought a legit pressure fighter that can cut a ring off and had it easy?
He cuts the ring better, he has faster feet, a better jab, timing, speed, he puts his punches together better than Maidana, hes a better finisher and his gas tank is twice Maidana's.

I don't care how good his defense is Lucas will hit him and if he can hit you he can hurt you. If he can't get Matthysse's respect which I don't think he can hes in a real rough night.

Garcia has the power to keep Lucas quite honest and just because he took Lucas's power great for most part don't mean that Floyd can or would.
Lucas has nothing to be ashamed of from that performance, it just wasn't his night.
